ZetaChain announced their connectivity with the Sui network, allowing direct native Bitcoin (BTC) utility with no wrapping or bridging. Sui holders have a new, frictionless way to swap their native SUI for native Bitcoin with one click. This integration allows them to earn yield for holding Bitcoin, all while staying on the Sui network. ZetaChain’s unique consensus-level interoperability model is making it possible for Sui users to directly interact with applications on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and many other chains.

For these reasons, ZetaChain’s model directly addresses the underutilization of Bitcoin. This unlocks direct BTC utility for activities such as swapping, lending and borrowing—all without the need to wrap. This functionality creates new onramps of Bitcoin-native users flocking to high-throughput chains such as Sui.

The integration further allows for reverse interoperability, letting BTC and ETH users use applications built on Sui. ZetaChain's Universal EVM allows developers to deploy once and access all supported chains — EVM and non-EVM — including Bitcoin.

Multiple applications have already gone live with more on the way and actively integrating with ZetaChain. Among them are Zuno, a cross-chain DEX, and Amana, a yield aggregator. Both of them are already announced to enable BTC-SUI routes soon.

ZetaChain is further opening up access to Telegram’s growing blockchain ecosystem with its integration with TON, too. This integration allows a unified, intelligent stablecoin to clear the market of liquidity fragmentation.

Additionally, ZetaChain has been rolling out Sui-focused hackathons in partnership with organizations including Google Cloud and ETH Global. Together, these initiatives are designed to inspire innovation and development within the Sui ecosystem.

One of Sui’s claims to fame is a $1.8 billion total value locked (TVL) and they compete in the same institutionalized Layer-1 segment as Solana. ZetaChain's integration unlocks two pathways: real revenue-generating use cases and new flows of Bitcoin-native users engaging with high-throughput chains like Sui.
